The views of Barren River from a tree topped deck make this remodel truly one of a kind. Like any good remodel, once it began, lots of surprises showed themselves. Durable and practical finishes were selected for this young, active family!
When you inherit a home on a beautiful piece of property that has good bones, we update! (A few rooms at a time.) Planning, design and execution are strategic in a remodel, especially when phasing a complete house. Opening the wall in the kitchen allowed this once dark room to flood with daylight!
The Club at Olde Stone is a private golf and residential club in Bowling Green, established in 2006. The growth of the club has resulted in repurposing spaces in an effort to accommodate the growing needs of the membership. The golf simulator was once part of the men’s locker room. The Courtside Cafe was once a storage room. The Snack Shop was once a screened porch at the pool. The Cafe and Snack Shop now share an enlarged kitchen between the two spaces.
Another renovation opportunity with an older home on a beautiful farm. Removing a wall and adding a window allowed for better efficiency in a small, dark kitchen. A growing family has also allowed for the creation of children’s spaces! And with every transformation we are slowly lightening and brightening rooms by painting the dark, stained, whole-house trim!
This transformation incorporates dark, soothing tones and rich textures, capturing the essence of the age-old bourbon aging process. The high coffered ceilings are also layered with texture with a coordinating grasscloth. Warm wood tones and robust leather chairs evoke the same level of craftsmanship associated with premium whiskey making.
